Railway Recruitment Board
Railway Recruitment Boards have announced 5,165 vacancies for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) in 2026. This includes 3,477 Graduate-level and 1,688 Undergraduate-level posts across Indian Railways. Apply online via rrbapply.gov.in.
Online registration begins on 08.10.2026 for Graduate posts (CEN 06/2026) and 15.10.2026 for Undergraduate posts (CEN 07/2026).

Age relaxation
SC / ST candidates receive 5 years relaxation in upper age limit. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates receive 3 years relaxation in upper age limit. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) receive 10 years relaxation in upper age limit. Ex-Servicemen and other special categories receive age relaxation as per Railway Board rules.
05Eligibility
- Educational Qualification (Graduate Level CEN 06/2026): Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute as on closing date (06.11.2026). Final-year candidates awaiting results are not eligible.
- Educational Qualification (Undergraduate Level CEN 07/2026): Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) / Intermediate or equivalent examination from a recognized Board as on the application closing date
06Selection Process

Stage 1 (CBT 1): Screening examination (100 questions, 90 mins, 1/3 negative marking). Shortlists 20x candidates for CBT 2.

Stage 2 (CBT 2): Merit stage (120 questions, 90 mins, 1/3 negative marking). Shortlists 8x candidates for Skill Test/CBAT.

Stage 3 (Typing Test / CBAT): Qualifying Typing Test (30 WPM English / 25 WPM Hindi) OR CBAT (Min 42 T-score per battery).

Stage 4 (DV & Medical): Document Verification followed by physical medical assessment (Category A-2, B-2, or C-2).

Pay examination fee (₹500 / ₹250) online via UPI, Cards, or Net Banking.

Capture live photo via web camera and upload scanned signature (10-50 KB JPG).

Preview the form, submit, and save a printed copy for reference.
